全体的におとなしめ
Come On Come Onのようなリズム感のあるロック調の曲は少なく、全体的におとなしい作りとなっています。
この傾向は A Place in the world以降から強くなって来ました。
正直、Stone in the Road 以前のMary Chapinの方が曲調的に好きですが、この The Callingも成熟した印象を感じられ、良いと思ってます。
ただ、もうカントリーじゃあないですね。
初めてMary Chapinを聴く方はつらいと思いますので、Party Doll and other favoritesかCome On Come Onを先にお聞きになった方が入りやすいでしょう。
